PodCon 2006 Actual Expenses
The PodcasterCon budget has always been public. I’ve made estimates the best I can and we’ve worked hard to stick to them. Here is the original budget estimate on the wiki. The original budget estimate was $2,791.24. PodcasterCon actually cost $2,440.95. As of today we’ve raised $3,165 — $860 from 25 individuals and $2,305 from four organizations. The majority of the organizational donations was from Cache Networks. That leaves us with $724.05 in the bank.
All of the remaining funds have been put in a savings account to help pay for the next PodcasterCon. Thank you for trusting me. Thank you, donors! Thank you, participants! We made PodcasterCon happen together!

I dont want to be nit picky. But wasn’t the Con in 2005, andwon’t the next Con be PodcasterCon2006?

Actually the first PodcasterCon was January 7, 2006. Most of the planning was in 2005. For awhile we considered having it in 2005. But at the end of the day it happened in *early* 2006. Hopefully the next one will be in 2007. Working on the exact date now.
