Over the past several weeks we’ve had many WONDERFUL entries in the logo design contest. I would like to thank everyone who submitted an entry. I have strong compassionate feelings for all creative people. So I want to be sure to tell all those that entered, your time, talent, and efforts are very valuable! Thank you so much for donating it to PodcasterCon! Much respect and love to you ALL!

The winner of the PodcasterCon Logo Design Contest, as determined by the judges, is Alex Verhoeven. He submitted a wonderful design. You’ll see it here on our site very soon. It’s a beautiful, modern, and clean design. All the graphics communicate clearly and the small badges text is quite legible. Thank you so much Alex! I hope you enjoy the iPod Shuffle.

Yep. The logo design contest is almost over. The official deadline is Monday, June 20. So get those logos in ASAP. Judging will begin soon and we’ll announce a winner as soon as we can. THIS IS EXCITING!

As of today five entries have been submited in the PodcasterCon Logo Design contest. This is great! Keep them comming! Man these designs are good. Judging is going to be hard.

I got an email today asking a good question about the Logo Design Contest.

The Question:
Under “Logo Design Contest Rules”, you state:

“Colors must represent our community.”

Just out of curiosity, do you wish to have the green theme of PodCasterCon.org, or the blue and white themes of some of the related links, such as http://www.podcastercon.org/blog/. If you could answer this for me, it would be much appreciated, as I am a little confused as to which color theme to follow for my design group.

My Answer:
Sorry… I didn’t mean to be vague.

You might want to take into consideration the community “vibe” you get from reading the wiki and blog.

Our unofficial statement of purpose is,(from the wiki) “PodcasterCon is a free users conference about podcasting. The focus will be on learning. In effect it is an anti expo without swag, without product promotion, and a way to keep podcasting fun! We’re going to make our own Podcaster Conference happen, together.”

What colors come to mind when you read that?

Just follow your designer instinct.
