We need to rasie some money!
It’s crunch time folks! Here is the budget estimate for PodcasterCon.
http://podcastercon.org/wiki/doku.php?id=home:budget
We’re talking about $2695 US to make PodcasterCon happen.
I *still* want to keep this event grassroots. This means no corporate sponsorship. Right now we have VERY low costs for an event that could bring as many as 200 people.
But…we need to get cracking and find some $. Soon.
Ideas:
+ Sell cool t-shirts (I can make them at home)
+ Charge for lunch
+ Private donations
+ your idea…?
PLEASE let us know how you can help!

Well for starters, just set up a private PayPal/Amazon donation box! i’m sure the blogosphere wouldn’t mind chipping in.

Of course, if I hadn’t been such a nimwit, I’d already seen there was one
Such are the joys of being online a bit too late.

Huh?
I’m organising the English one - www.podcastcon.co.uk and it’s costing everyone attending nothing or about $8
I’m not making any profit out of it at all - why on earth would you need to pay out so much? Forgive me sounding rude.

Paul-
We’re feeding everyone. Basially you can attend for free and even get free food at our event too.
The budget I posted is an *estimate*. http://podcastercon.org/wiki/doku.php?id=home:budget
How may people are you expecting at the English PodcasterCon? We’re planning on 200+ people. I rather overestimate than underestimate. I’ve seen events like these get huge fast out of no where. Nothing worse than running out of food, IMHO.
We need to be prepared in case more than 200 people attend. Folks can just show up and participate, so … there is an unknown variable that must be planned for best we can.
BTW…No one is making any money off of PodcasterCon here in the US.
