Welcome to the PodcasterCon blog

This is the place for news, announcements, discusission, and sudden ideas about PodcasterCon. We also have a wiki that we’re using for group planning. Go on over there and get a username and password, then login. We want you to participate in making this event!

Here is the PodcasterCon statement of purpose as of now (March 26, 2005):
PodcasterCon is a free users conference about podcasting. The focus will be on learning. In effect it is an anti-expo without swag, without product promotion, and a way to keep podcasting fun! We’re going to make our own Podcaster Conference happen, together.

    Before anything else, my suggestion is to secure podcon.org before another expo does. (In fact, podcon.com currently redirects to PodcastExpo.com.) Then, I suggest using PodCon interchangeably to refer to PodcasterCon; it’s catchy and other popular expos have uses similar and smaller names.

    So I’ve secured the domain and am currently having it redirect to podcastercon.org. I wanted to make sure the domain wasn’t swept up before this idea had a chance to germinate.

    A BIG thank you to Harold. This type of pro-activeness is one of the reasons I want to make this event as a group. Lots of smart folks working together is *bound* to be better than one or two.
